The Dragon’s Rage

The grey and black roll in

corrupting the blue of the sky

and crackling with power.

The roars of the mythical dragon

are heard through the golden city.

The scales seen rippling through the clouds,

lightning flickering in it’s blue eyes,

silver cracks covering the black and grey scales

as it beats its wings,

sending shivers down the walls.

It circles over head,

water beating down on the mortals below

it roars

shooting down, leading the lighting to its mark,

crashing down atop the tallest steel building.

The creature’s weight denting the tower

Before it flies up, allowing the lighting to do it’s work.

The children cry in horror,

Adults silent in terror,

and no one is willing to fight.

they run, everyone for themselves,

they’re animals running from their God.

The dragon screeches,

laughing,

calling for a challenger.

But no one came.
