We’re Meant To Be

A boy,

Black hair hanging over his

Beautiful grey eyes,

He’s perfect.

My heart,

It beats faster,

And faster,

I love him!

He sits under the tree

Pink flower petals falling to his feet,

Bowing to him,

Serving him.

All he has to do is read

For nature to accept

His rule.

I love him.

We would be perfect together

I can imagine his hand in mine,

His loving eyes

Looking into mine.

Wait, who is that?

That brat!

Who is she,

With that orange hair?

My heart,

It beats faster,

And faster,

My vision red.

How dare she talk to him,

The man I love

He is mine!

She must disappear.

Disappear…

But, she won’t leave willingly,

I should just…

Remove her permanently.

My heart,

It stills,

I have a goal,

He is mine.

Why does he laugh with her?

Why does he talk to her?

Why doesn’t he look at me like that?

Oh, but she’s gone now.

No ones in the way,

Her orange hair in my hands,

Am I still seeing in red?

Oh, wait.

I killed her.

My heart,

It beats faster,

And faster.

He’s mine now!

No one can get in the way!

The door opens,

And he stands there.

“My love,”

I say, standing,

Blood dripping from my fingertips,

“Come here.”

I smile,

But he’s not.

Why isn’t he smiling?

The brat it out of the way now.

He’s running?!

How dare he!

I worked so hard for him,

We love each other!

Why is he running?

He’s just not in his right mind,

I’ll follow him,

Make sure everything’s fine.

He’s huddled in the corner, sobbing,

Why?

I place my hand on his shoulder,

“It’s ok, my love, we can be together forever.”
