I plan on writing an original story that’s set in a world of my own creation! I have yet to come up with the names of the characters, but I know key story points, basics of the characters, and the world. Speaking of which, the world has both demons and vampires, no actual magic, a single lonely god, quite a few humans, and a few humans with some demonic blood mixed in.
This idea originally came from a scene that popped into my mind maybe, 2 years ago? A girl being attacked by a vampire before managing to get out of its grasp and running away, calling someone for help with a phone she managed to steal from the vampire attacking her. It has since evolved from that but I still pretty much use that exact scene as the very beginning of the story.
I came up with this story while I was really invested in something called Creepypasta, which is pretty much just a bunch of horror stories like Slenderman and stuff. So a lot of the horror factor probably came from that, though, I was also interested in an anime called Tokyo Ghoul which is literally an anime about people called Ghouls that look like humans but all they can eat is human flesh without dying/going mad. The Ghouls are hunted down by an association called the CCG, I have something very similar to the CCG in my story.
Anyways, I’m going to be reading The Right to Write by Julia Cameron while writing this story so I may or may not use tips from that story in my writing. Though, most of my writing will be influenced by what I’ve read already, though, I can’t pinpoint the exact books influencing me. I’ll also probably be showing my friends or something to get constructive criticism, so they’ll also be influencing my writing.
